  The D-Link DES-361G is a 1 Port Gigabit Module designed specifically for the DES-3624I 20 +2 Switch. The DES-361G strictly adheres to the IEEE 802.3z 1000BaseSX specification standard. It has a single SC type ports for creating a Gigabit backbone link from the switch to another backbone switch or a server. This creates a 1000 Mbps link directly from the switch to the most critical elements in the networking environment. The D-Link DES-361G 1000BaseSX Module provides the user with a high-speed link for their critical network paths without the need to purchase a separate Gigabit switch. The DES-361G Gigabit module is easily installed into the DES-3624I switch to expand its capabilities in the networking topology. Once installed it gives the user a fast and reliable uplink to available resources on the network.
