The D-Link DFE-650TX is a Dual Speed Ethernet/Fast Ethernet 10/100Mbps PCMCIA card for notebook computers. It allows users to easily connect to a network and share databases and resources in diverse environments. It is engineered to unleash the power of today’s notebooks and turn them into robust stations or servers.
NWay Auto-negotiation
The card’s single connector connects to either 10Base-T Ethernet or 100Base-TX Fast Ethernet completely without any need to set configuration. It detects the connected hub’s capability and auto-negotiates to use the highest available speed.
Full Duplex Support
Full/half duplex operation is auto-detected in 10Base-T mode. In full duplex, the notebook is connected to a switch in a dedicated segment. With transmission and reception taking place simultaneously, data transfer is doubled. Mobile users can thus hook to a network and turn their notebooks into power servers.
Snap-In Installation
The card auto-detects IRQs and I/O addresses available in the notebook. Together with the hot-swap support, this feature brings a lot fof convenience to DOS and Windows users without Win 95 installed.
Complete Compatibility
The card is compatible with all major notebook, sub-notebook and palmtop PCs, supports the main Socket and Card Services and provides driver programs for all popular networking operating systems.
Comprehensive Driver Support
The card supports all major network operating systems, including NetWare, Windows NT, Windows 95 and Unix.
