D-Link?s DFE-680TX is a 32Bit high-performance dual speed CardBus 10/100 Ethernet /Fast Ethernet adapter with a Media Coupler enabling connection for notebook and laptop computers. The DFE-680TX is targeted at users of notebook or laptop computers.
The DFE-680TX combines 32-bit Bus Mastering performance with WOL (Wake-on-Lan) and advance functions, complying with ACPI specification; this adapter provides management function for power saving when not operating. The DFE-680TX utilizes Nway (Auto-Negotiation) for dynamic speed adjustment for 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX for speeds of 20Mbps/200Mbps in full duplex mode.
The DFE-680TX dual-speed 10/100 Mbps feature adheres to IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.3u, which specify 10BASE-T and 100BASETX Ethernet technology. Simple plug-and-play enables ease of installation, in addition to Hot Swapping capabilities for card detection while operating system is initialized.
