  The D-Link DSH-8 is a Dual Speed eight-port Ethernet/Fast Ethernet hub with 10/100Mb NWay auto-sensing on each port. Easy to Use Each port on the DSH-8 supports dual 10/100Mb speeds. The hub auto-negotiates the speed with the connected nodes and creates independent 10Mb and 100Mb segments. The integrated switch handles translation and traffic flow between the two segments. No configuration settings are necessary; each port keeps track of the connected device’s speed and the internal switch keeps track of which user is connected to which port. Should any users be moved from port to port, the new port renegotiates the speed of the connected device and the switch dynamically learns the user’s new location. All of this happens instantly and without any user intervention. Scalable Expansion The DSH-8 can be cascaded to hubs, switches or other network devices as outlined in the current Ethernet and Fast Ethernet standards. By combining workgroup level hubs with high performance D-Link switches and routers, a DSH-8 user’s investment is protected as network demands increase, or the size of their network grows.
